We had the good fortune of connecting with Maddie Mackey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maddie, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from San Diego, CA, born and raised and I lived in la Jolla during my high school years! I am so grateful to take on working with the La Jolla Social map business and community. My dad started this over 10 years ago to share the beauty, fun, magic and events in La Jolla! @lajollasocial

Growing up here, I learned a lot about how lucky I was to be a kid growing up with access to the beach and the snow within hours, I had a great team to look up to with my parents, Deanna Mackey and Rob Mackey, Kai Koehnke, Francesca Canales and many others here in the La Jolla + Greater San Diego area!

I am now raising a daughter here in the area and see that she is enjoying so many of the pastimes that I used to and I celebrate this town, the beauty, the ocean and the community daily!
